December 27, 2014 Tomy

Talking about the camera-centric company – Kodak – has confirmed that it will be launching a range of mobile devices running the Android platform, integrated with by offering an image management software, along with other features too. Indeed, be the first Kodak smartphone from its new product family that will be unveiled in less than two weeks, during CES in Las Vegas.

Kodak from the past was a truely an icon in photo imaging and hardware, offering a range of cameras and even camera films and now, showcasing the company’s proud heritage. Imminently, “Kodak is one of the world’s most recognizable brands. It is trusted by consumers as a marque of quality and innovation,” says Oliver Schulte, CEO Bullitt Mobile.

Speaking about the upcoming Kodak Android smartphones and tablets, which are apparently aimed at customers looking for high-end, yet simple user experience. Bullitt Mobile’s involvement here is important. Kodak will not be making its own devices, and in fact be outsourcing most of the development work to Bullitt Mobile, the company responsible for the Caterpillar phones known for their ruggedness.

The mobile devices from Kodak, which will also include tablets and smartphones will be well designed and will be aimed at users looking for a top-end one without all the fuss of handling complex details and more. Shipped with bespoke image capture, management and sharing features.

Schulte said,

“Delivering simplicity without compromise, these devices will address a segment of the mobile device market that has been poorly served to date. By giving customers easy access to printing and sharing services while still offering the latest Android OS and features found on high-end smartphones.”

However, no word on the device specs nor when it will be released, but it literally will come pre-loaded with bespoke image capture, management and sharing features to offer a rich user experience and with an easier and shorter learning curve.

Imagination: Kodak’s new devices released will be heavily focused on the photography and imaging side of things. Android powered cameras from the iconic company pretty soon, as handsets and tablets have already been called out as well. We will be covering CES live from Las Vegas, so be sure to tune in for more on the subject.

Kodak is set to reveal its first handset at CES 2015. Stay tuned!
